My Story

Hi, my name is Dominique and I attend The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Fort Worth in Texas. I have been attending The Boys and Girls Club for 11 years, since I was 6 years old. The Boys and Girls Club has always been an outlet for me ever since.

I am the Vice President of the Keystone Club, which is through the The Boys and Girls Club. The Keystone Club has been around many years and has specialized in helping teens be better leaders for tomorrow. The Keystone Club is a premiere teen character and citizenship program for teens ages fourteen to eighteen. Every year Keystone has a National Conference. The conference provides Keystoners with positive leadership experiences to engage and socialize with our peers, explore teen issues, and develop skills to support and enhance service and leadership efforts in our clubs and communities. This year the conference will be held in Dallas and will be the biggest National Keystone Conference ever! We are fundraising for 6 Keystoners to go to conference. It will cost $335 per person to go. This cost covers our transportation, hotel rooms, registration cost, food, and parking.

I have decided to put together a fundraising page for our Keystone Club to partner with friends, family, and strangers to help make this dream of ours come true. Being able to attend the conference will provide me with the essentials I need to be a better leader for my generation. It will help me build my character as well as meet new and interesting people who want to be better leaders as well. Meeting new people will open my eyes to new and interesting things. It would mean the world to me and my peers to attend this conference.

We set up concessions at our Boys and Girls Club and sell items such as chips, sodas, candy and pickles. We have also set a goal individually to raise outside of the organizations and are open to donations. We still need all the help we can get to reach our goal. We are asking for donations, anything you can give will help us reach our goal.
