PayPal has three account levels: Personal, Premier, and Business. A Personal account (free) allows you to receive donations from other PayPal users. A Premier account (also free) gives you the added ability to receive donations from anyone with a credit card, whether they have a PayPal account or not. A Premier account is also required to use YouCanSend.me Add-on’s such as Recurring Donations. For best results, we recommend a PayPal Premier account.
Like all credit card merchants, PayPal retains a small fee when processing credit card transactions. If supporters donate directly from a paypal account these fees don’t apply.

All donations received through YouCanSend.me are credited directly to your PayPal account. You will receive a notification e-mail for each donation you receive. Then, when you’ve reached your goal, login to PayPal and transfer the money to your bank account.
PayPal makes withdrawing money simple by allowing you to link your bank account and make an online transfers.

Linking your bank account makes it quick and easy to transfer the fund you’ve raised straight to your bank account to pay for your trip. Along with easy fund transfers, having a linked bank account verifies your PayPal account and upgrades it to PayPal Premier for free.
Having a PayPal Premier account allows supporters to donate using a credit card, confirms your identify, increases the security of your PayPal transactions, and raises your withdraw and transfer limits.
Premier accounts are also necessary for some YouCanSend.me Add-on’s like Recurring donations.
Before you can make a withdraw or transfer to your bank account you will need to confirm the account with PayPal.

If you’ve received notifications from PayPal but cannot see your donations when logged into the PayPal account, you may need to confirm your e-mail address.
To confirm your e-mail address click the link in the bottom of the PayPal notification e-mail, follow the steps to setup your security questions, and complete the confirmation. Your donations will then appear in your account within a few minutes.
