My Story

I am so excited to announce that I have the opportunity to go on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic this January. From January 7-14, 2017 I will be serving alongside other students from Carmel Christian School as we partner with Freedom Christian School in the Dominican Republic.

In the mornings, we will serve in the English Immersion Preschool or in construction at Freedom School. During the afternoons, we will lead ministries throughout the villages or camps. With the construction crews, we will be building a school building that provides children with a safe, permanent atmosphere where they will learn to love God, love people, and live out their lives as they have been designed to do.

Freedom Christian School has started a bilingual Christian school where they are invested in sharing the Word of God with all the children in the bayetes through VBS programs. I am so excited to be able to be apart of this ministry and to see all of the great things that God is doing.

If I were to choose one thing about this trip that I am most excited about, it would be playing and loving on the kids. Children have always had a big part of my heart, I firmly believe that God has given me the gift of connecting with children. Every Sunday morning, I am able to serve and love on children at my church. Through this I have learned how to make them laugh and how to soothe the fears that creep into their little minds. I cannot wait to see how God uses the skills he has been cultivating in me every week while I am on this trip. My heart overflows with anticipation of showing the love of the Creator through the love that He pours out of me.

Thank you for taking the time to read about the incredible opportunity that I have to serve in the Dominican Republic. If you are unable to support me financially, I would love for you to support me with your prayers.

Thank you once again!
